WINK WINK FOOD + DRINK
Collaborating with The Modern and Crescent Hotels & Resorts, Wink Wink Food & Drink became the new destination for fun, casual drinks and dining in the downtown Sarasota area in Florida.
When developing the name, I knew I wanted something modern, unexpected and playful with a nod to the 50’s and 60’s as well as the subculture of the beachy Tiki revolution of that same era.
In addition to the primary logotype, I designed a set of logo variations to spice up the branding and create variety among the different deliverables I also illustrated custom kitschy icons and cocktail renderings to use throughout the menus and identity. The menu set was bound in retro bookcloth with hints of a banana leaf pattern and die-stamped icons on the covers. The cocktail menu was inspired by vintage tiki bar menus, yet stylized in a modern and more elegant layout. Neon signage beckoned guests in from the street window and the hotel lobby entrance.
