CITY OF PERRYSBURG LOGOTYPE & SEAL

Updating the City of Perrysburg logotype warranted a bold, legible, classic typeface, juxtaposed with a color palette that reflected the blues Maumee River along with the grays of the rich naval history.

The logotypes complementary seal paid homage to their historical version by keeping the nautical rope and namesake of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry who faces to the right or "future". Behind him is an illustration of Fort Meigs Battlefield which shows how Perrsburg still "embraces our past." In front of him in the seal icon is an illustration of the Maumee River with a sunrise symbolizing a "brighter tomorrow."

I collaborated with both the City of Perrysburg administration as well as its Mayor and City Council to roll out this new, fresher city branding toolkit.
